Elac Nautik Sperry ES 5000 Echo-sounder for accurate depth data:
Navigation Echo Sounder / Marine Depth Finder – Sperry ES 5000 provides accurate depth readings in shallow to deep waters with four operating ranges from 10 to 2000 meters. It displays a graphic readout of the depth and bottom contour on a bright, clear high-resolution LCD display screen of the display and control unit. It also depicts a continuous display of other relevant navigation information.

Elac Nautik Sperry ES-5000 depth readings:
Sperry ES-5000 Marine Echo-sounder is a compact in design, processor managed, advanced piece of electronics. Water depth reading data is displayed on the monitor as either:
- Depth below the keel (DBK)
- Depth below the transducer (DBT)
- Depth below the surface (DBS)
User-friendly and easy to operate Menu system assist the user while making a selection of necessary parameters. Built according to the highest industry norms and meets all standards required by the BSH – German Hydro-graphic Institute.
Sperry ES-5000 System Configuration:
The basic system setup is as follows:
- 1 x Display and Control Unit ES 5000
- 1 x Connection box
- 1 x Transducer
Display and control unit:
The Display and Control unit is designed to fit in a console also it can be mounted to the deck-head or to the bulkhead as per the convenience of the existing bridge-room set-up. It has a large enough display portion and keypad to operate the system and change the parameters and settings as required.
Sperry ES 5000 can be set-up as a single or dual-channel echo-sounder. It is able to work with different transducers on various frequencies.
Echo sounding / Water Depth Data display:
Below data is shown on the display when only one transducer is installed:
- Water depth
- Range scale
- Time and date
- Latitude and Longitude (Subject to connection with Navigation system having standard NMEA 0183, version 2.0 interface)
- Maximum and minimum depth alarm settings, when activated
- A trace of the sea bed
When it is set-up as a dual-channel, the data is shown on the split display. Data of channel 1 is displayed on the right half and data of channel 2 is displayed on the left half portion of the display.
Printout of saved data:
System data is continuously saved on built-in ring memory which allows the operator to recall data on the display or take a printout of all the events that occurred within the last 24 operating hours by connecting an external printer.

Transducer options for Sperry ES-5000:
ES-5000 can be used with two transducers (i.e. one fore and one aft, one port, and one starboard) without requiring any extra alteration while a dual-channel module is activated. Data acquired by one or both the transducers can be displayed on the LCD.
Switch box (optional):
In case if the dual-channel module is not installed, a switch box can be installed to operate with two transducers of the same frequency/type. The display will depict the echo-information of the transducer which is selected by the switch box.
